In the advent of the new Regional leadership in the ARMM, Honorable Mujiv S. Hataman, Regional Governor and in his concurrent capacity as the Chairman of the RPMA Governing Board lucidly pronounced in all his meetings and speaking engagements that all ARMM line agencies must be responsive to its clienteles and involve all sectors in the ARMM Reform Ag enda in pursuit of Accountability, Transparency and Participatory Governance.

Anchoring on the wisdom of RG Hataman to bring the office closer to the people, a dire need to have accessible and direct linkages with the stakeholders and port users in the island provinces of Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi (BASULTA) is very vital considering that the major ports under the jurisdiction of RPMA are mostly in the BASULTA areas and preferential attention is needed to cater various concerns affecting these ports.

Therefore; the RPMA Satellite and Coordinating Office is hereby established in Rm. 303-B, 3rd Flr. CTC Bldg., Mayor Jaldon St. Canelar, Zamboanga City, to address the operational competence and performance of each Port Management Offices (PMO’s) and Terminal Management Offices (TMO’s) in ARMM. In such a way, the General Manager can monitor and over-see the day-to-day operational activities of all BASULTA Ports and immediate predicaments and concerns shall be properly addressed without delay, Insha Allah.
