SPECIAL MEETING WITH BASULTA SHIPPING COMPANIES

RATIONALE:

In line with the ARMM Reform Agenda of the Honorable Mujiv S. Hataman,       OIC-Regional   Governor- ARMM to institute the needed port reform in accordance with the “Matuwid na Daan” Policy of His Excellency Benigno Simeon “NoyNoy” Aquino III, the RPMA deemed it proper to consult and dialogue with all the stakeholders and such, the Shipping Companies are one of the significant sector needed to be coordinated on how to address the various concerns in the port. The following Agenda are considered of most important to be given solutions and clear-cut policy, to wit:

  1. Alleged Booking/Sale of Fare tickets to Fixers in Port of Jolo ,Bongao and Siasi;
    2. Student Privilege (SP) and Senior Citizen fare discount;
    3. Fare Passes issued by Port Officials;
    4. Un-authorized use of RPMA Identification Card (ID);
    5. Submission of Updated Vessel Information Sheet (VIS);
    6. Updates on Wharfage, Usage and Porterage Fee;
    7. Port Ancillary Services such as Water Supplies, Garbage Collection and Disposal; Laundry Service, etc;
    8. Contact Person of every Shipping Companies;
    9. Launching of RPMA Convergence Program in ARMM Ports; and
    10. Other Matters
